Roadside picnic – early 1960s

A casual snapshot of a group of friends, or more likely a family, stopping on the side of the road for a picnic and using the bonnet of the car as a makeshift picnic stand. The car is obviously registered in the UK and the B suffix letter suggests 1964 whereas the large tarpaulin covering the roof rack suggests they are on the journey to a holiday destination.
