BAC One-Eleven jet on runway

This plane is a BAC One-Eleven (BAC 1–11), a British short-haul jetliner with its distinctive rear-mounted engines and T-tail. The livery belongs to British European Airways (BEA) (specifically the “Red Square”) scheme used from the mid-1960s until the 1974 BEA/BOAC merger into British Airways. The location is unknown, but probably a regional airport somewhere in the UK.
On the forward fuselage you can make out the BEA crest and the red passenger window stripe, typical of BEA’s corporate look at the time.
