Save Our American Resources – June 1971

When I first saw this image I had no idea what it was about, but a quick trip to ChatGPT told me that this is probably a group of boy scouts (or the American Equivalent) participating in the SOAR movement, which was an environmental clean up operation that took place in the early 1970s.
Although the date is known, June 5th 1971 and the general location is the USA, I don’t know the exact location the photo was taken, but it’s interesting to see that people were starting to see the detrimental effects of human civilisation on the planet even then.
