Family on a beach at the seaside

This is a picture of a family on the beach at the seaside that was probably taken in the winter and could have been at Whitley Bay in the North East of England. The timeframe is probably in the mid 1950s based on the clothes the family are wearing, and I’ve assumed winter because of the weather, but also the fact that the beach is otherwise deserted.
