For a long time when I looked at this photo I thought it was just a man looking for something in a bag at the back of his motorbike, but after a while I suddenly realised that he is sharpening a knife or pair of scissors on a grinding wheel mounted on the back of his bike. I assume he would travel around offering knife grinding services before driving off to the next village.
Taken somewhere in Europe I would guess and probably in the early 1960s.
