A view of the Hôtel de la Marine on the Place de la Concorde in Paris, photographed during the 1960s. At the time the building housed the French Ministry of the Navy.
Originally constructed in the 18th century as the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne, its monumental façade was designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel as part of the development of the Place Louis XV, now the Place de la Concorde.
This Kodachrome II colour slide was originally posted on Everything Vintage as just a 'large building in France' but I've since determined the actual identification.
